KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Officer to join our Head Office team based in Kewdale, Perth.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the HR Officer will be part of a well established HR team responsible for performing a range of human resource activities for the business across Australia. Plenty of opportunity to learn and contribute to departmental and organisational development.

Your key area of responsibilities will include:
  • Timely recruitment of staff, trades and skilled labour.
  • Ensuring the integrity of the recruitment database are updated and maintained, including contributing to system development.
  • Acknowledge receipt of and review employment applications for correctness and, where appropriate request applicants to provide additional information.
  • Interview applicants to evaluate work history, job skills, education, training and other qualifications.
  • Ensuring employee mobilisation is carried out in accordance with client/site requirements.
  • Maintain HR database with new and ceased employees.
  • Assist in any HR/IR issues that may arise.
  • Perform reference and background checks on applicants.
  • Schedule and coordinate pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test appointments.
  • Inform applicants of job duties and responsibilities, remuneration and benefits, work schedules and working conditions, policies, and other information.
  • Prepare letters of offer for prospective candidates.
  • Coordination and submission of Workers Compensation Claims.
  • Assist in performance assessments/appraisals.
  • Assist in the coordination and booking of training.
  • Day to day administrative duties.
To be considered for this role you must have:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a HR related position.
  • Completion of Human Resources Management Degree/Diploma is preferable.
  • Experience in end to end blue and white collar recruitment.
  • Good understanding of the Fair Work Act 2009.
  • Ability to interpret awards and agreements.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with our internal clients.
  • Strong computer skills required in Excel, Word and ERMS experience highly desirable.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
