Goodline are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Team Leader to join our Kawana Waters Team for an ongoing basis.

Purpose: 

The Procurement Team Leader has a strong understanding of the Purchase to Payment process (P2P), and tactical Procurement activities such as requesting quotes (RFQs) and comparing vendor pricing. The Procurement officer is responsible for ensuring all purchase orders are monitored and processed accurately through the system, monitoring and controlling inventory levels with the appropriate staff and contacting suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.

Reporting and Working Relationships:

The Procurement Team Leader reports to the Operations Manager and consults with various team staff and construction Project Managers across Australia, the Tender Team and Stores and warehousing staff. 

The Procurement Officer will: 
  • Assist the Procurement and Supply Transformation programme and support sustained delivery of the various improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are monitored and processed accurately through the system in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders and contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
  • Assist the Procurement Analyst with the preparation and management of Requests for Information, Quotations and Proposals (RFIs, RFQs, RFPs).
  • Assist the Procurement Analyst with research to ensure up to date industry and supply market knowledge is maintained for Procurement categories, including benchmark pricing.
  • Maintain solid supplier relationships and source new suppliers in conjunction with the Procurement Analyst when necessary.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate registers and systems to support Site staff verify the accuracy of their orders and invoices e.g. equipment hire.
Technical or Expert Knowledge / Experience:
  • Proven experience within procurement, supply chain or logistics environments
  • Purchase to Payment (P2P) knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience with P2P systems e.g. Viewpoint, SAP
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good attention to detail and problem solving
  • The ability to work autonomously and in a team
  • Experience in the Civil and Construction industry is advantageous 
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary and/or other relevant qualifications or reasonable practical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement environment and a good understanding of the P2P process.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
  • Good level of written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and demonstrated success at building relationships with key people.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, take initiative and drive for results.

8:30am – 5:00pm (Mon – Friday)
