Pacific Industrial Company has a proud 52 year history as a leading provider of steel fabrication, construction and modularisation services to clients throughout Western Australia and Australia in the construction, mining and oil and gas sectors.
PIC has completed work on iconic projects such as Brookfield Place, Perth Museum, City square in Perth CBD and has successfully completed projects for BHP, Rio Tinto and Woodside to name a few.
Our main Naval Base facility consists of three major workshops with a floor area totalling over 40,000 square metres, including over 40 overhead travelling cranes up to 120 tonne capacity. 

Due to company growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with extensive experience in the fabrication industry to join our team to help deliver recently awarded Projects and to help us to continue to grow the company into the future. Reporting to the General Manager (Operations).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Delivering project management solutions on time, on budget, within scope, and with high quality to our clients.
  • Developing and maintaining effective and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including client representatives.
  • Creating detailed work plans which identifies, and sequences delivery activities.
  • Determining resources (time, money, equipment, staff etc) required to deliver Projects.
  • Reviewing the project schedule and quality of work completed with senior management and other project staff.
  • Executing projects in accordance with project plans and monitoring project progress.
  • Establishing and driving a positive safety culture with a proactive commitment to workplace health, safety and the environment.
Ideally, you will possess the following past experience and qualifications:
  • A proven track record in Project Management and strong commercial acumen.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Tertiary education is desirable, preferably in fields related to engineering and fabrication.
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project.
  • The ability to effectively share ideas, thoughts, and information with a diverse range of workers and clients. This includes speaking, listening and written communication skills.
  • The ability to organise resources to achieve a standard of excellence in outcomes and monitor on-going performance.
  • The ability to work cooperatively across organisational boundaries to achieve shared goals.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • A customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven approach, with the ability to adapt to requirements in a changing environment.
