We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner to join our team and help us to continue to grow the company into the future. Based in our Naval Base office, this role is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of all PIC projects, both on site and within our workshop locations.
As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for: 
  • Collating and reporting on project progress (including resource utilisation)
  • Developing and establishing planning tools for each project in accordance with the Project Controls Plan
  • Creating schedules to assist in the deliver of project management activities
  • Day to day management of schedules and scheduling issues, in consultation with Project Managers
  • Determination of the appropriate baseline progress weightings for Engineering, Procurement and Construction in consultation with respective managers
  • Presentation of schedule and schedule risk analysis to Project management, and identifying issues, possible mitigating actions and opportunities
  • Preparation and management of 3 week look ahead programs
  • Re-baselining the project activities as necessary or in accordance with intervals established in the Project Controls Plan
  • Preparation of tabular and narrative progress reports
Ideally, you will possess the following past experience and qualifications:
  • At least 5 years planning and scheduling experience
  • Prior experience with heavy fabrication and/or significant project experience
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in an engineering or business field
  • Expert level knowledge and application of Primavera planning software
  • Able to communicate effectively across a wide number of project disciplines
  • Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office Suite Software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
