We currently have a full-time role for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with 1-2 years post apprenticeship experience. The role is working under the Lead Mechanic repairing and maintaining a wide range of plant and equipment at our Naval Base Workshop.

We currently have a full-time role for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with 1-2 years post apprenticeship experience. The role is working under the Lead Mechanic repairing and maintaining a wide range of plant and equipment at our Naval Base Workshop.
The Role:
- Undertaking scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs of vehicles, plant and construction equipment to ensure they continue operation
- Mobile cranes (20 to 350 tonnes)
- Elevated work platforms
- Scissor lifts
- Forklifts
- Trucks
- Light vehicles
- Welding sets
- Generators
- Compressors
- Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade Certificate
- 1-2 years of relevant post trade experience
- Experience with some or all, of the above equipment
- The ability to work autonomously and prioritise your workload
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team and independently
- Vehicle electrical systems knowledge is an advantage
- Diagnostic skills
- Effective communication skills
- Local Perth based work
- Exposure to the resource sector whilst going home each night
- Monday to Friday - 49 hours a week
- Brand new workshop by the end of 2020
