Package Coordinator
Pacific Industrial Company (PIC) is a highly regarded private company and a recognised leader in the Australian steel fabrication and construction industry. We provide steel design, fabrication and construction services to the construction, mining, oil and gas sectors Australia wide.
PIC are looking for an experienced Package Coordinator with extensive logistics/stores exposure for a position based within our Naval Base office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend material related project meetings and other project and team meetings as required.
  • Carry out Material control duties in support of the material control function within the Business Unit and as directed by Management.
  • Ensure all material is recorded on delivery and dispatch.
  • Follow up on non delivery of documented materials for delivery.
  • Provide Material control support and advice to Project Leaders and Management.
  • Maintain and report material information for projects on a timely basis.
  • Assist in the identification of potential areas of concerns or improvement, to maximise material control effectiveness on projects and work practices.
  • Warehousing by ensuring materials are ready and available for production, incoming products are managed appropriately and over stock is minimised.
  • Logistics by means of ensuring accuracy of manifesting, safe loading and unloading of goods and liaising with freight providers.
  • Purchasing through expediting, vender reviews and visits.
Key Requirements:
  • Demonstrated previous experience in a similar role
  • High attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Forklift Licence
  • Valid WA Drivers Licence
  • Be available for an immediate start
