Position
Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd (Civmec) is currently seeking applications from Quantity Surveyors/Contracts Administrators, Senior Quantity Surveyors/Contracts Administrators and Project Commercial Managers for an existing Civil & SMP project located in the Pilbara Region. Based on site, FIFO from Perth (3/1 roster), on one of WA largest iron ore mine's, the successful applicants will form an integral part of our Project Team.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, duties will include but not be limited to;
The successful applicant will demonstrate high attention to detail, proven organisational and time management skills combined with the ability to work autonomously within a high pressure environment.

- Review engineering drawings and specifications
- Prepare material take-offs
- Review contractual obligations and manage commercial aspects of the contract
- Prepare and submit progress claims
- Advise clients of Notices of Delay (NoD’s) and Extensions of Time (EoT’s)
- Provide accurate and timely reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Review design changes to assess the effect on project budget and schedule
- Assess and recommend payment to subcontractors.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management/Economics
- Demonstrate commercial experience within a Tier 1/Tier 2 contractor environment
- Experience in the preparation and submission of NoD’s and EoT’s
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
