Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd (Civmec) is currently seeking an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager to join their passionate and successfully driven team based in Henderson. The primary focus of the role is to ensure the commercial integrity of the Business Unit is maintained and enhanced through commercial activities while effectively managing performance and development of direct reports, overseeing the pre-contract commercial activities throughout the Company.

The Pre-Contracts Manager role will report directly to the Group Manager - Support Services, duties will include but not be limited to:
The successful applicant will demonstrate high attention to detail, proven organisational and time management skills combined with the ability to work autonomously within a high pressure environment. Knowledge of the construction and/or mining, oil and gas, infrastructure industries as well as demonstrated commercial acumen within a Contractor environment is essential.

Duties
The Pre-Contracts Manager role will report directly to the Group Manager - Support Services, duties will include but not be limited to:
- Review of tender documentation and proposed Contract Documents
- Initiate and coordinate of a Commercial Risk Analysis [CRA]
- Initiate and review of insurance requirements with broker’s input
- Coordinate the pricing of insurances
- Communicate identified issues/risks from CRA to Risk Manager/Tender Team
- Participate in review/sign-off from submission of tender
- Participate in/lead negotiations with Client
- Negotiate long term service agreements for key external relationships/stakeholders
- Initiate and draft confidentiality agreements/deeds
- Lead and develop an effective and productive team
- Recruit, develop and retain high calibre team members
- Encourage an environment of sharing knowledge and ideas to ensure continuous improvement within the team.
- Previous experience in a Contractor environment
- Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law or similar
- Minimum five (5) years experience in a similar role.
