Here’s what we need from you:

You have an interest in building a career in M&A and have strong communication skills. You are proactive, persistent, intelligent, and efficient. You have the following qualifications and attributes:

• At least 3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, and/or corporate mergers and acquisitions.
• Excellent academic performance in a business, finance, economics, or accounting-related degree, with preference given to those with a CPA designation and / or MBA degree.
• An entrepreneur at heart, you are committed to building businesses.
• High quality decision making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp new and complex concepts quickly.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work on several acquisition opportunities simultaneously.

The fine print of this gig:

Your role will report to the CEO and be preferably based at our Perth office in Western Australia. You will have an opportunity to drive all stages of the M&A process, including:

• Assisting the division to achieve capital deployment targets.
• Cultivating a pipeline of acquisition opportunities through engaging with acquisition targets’ shareholders, executives and financial advisors.
• Evaluating the quality of prospective vertical-market software acquisitions.
• Building high-level and detailed valuation models to determine price and structure of potential offers.
• Assisting with drafting and negotiating letters of intent.
• Assisting in financial and operational due diligence, and project managing due diligence activities of cross functional teams, including specialists in human resources, research and development, tax and legal departments.
• Assisting the preparation of investment memorandums, discussing the investment rationale and strategy for the business post-closing; and
• Assisting in the integration of newly acquired businesses and the tracking of post-closing performance.
