The role of Pressure Vessel Inspector reports to the Senior Asset Integrity Engineer and would suit an individual with suitable qualifications and previous experience working as a pressure vessel inspector in a chemical processing plant .

Tronox Kwinana Pigment Plant is a progressive site which places a strong emphasis on Organisational Discipline to achieve Operational Excellence. The main purpose of the business is to safely produce quality tonnes of Titanium Dioxide Pigment on time and within costs. The role of Pressure Vessel Inspector reports to the Senior Asset Integrity Engineer and would suit an individual with suitable qualifications and previous experience working as a pressure vessel inspector.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct the required inspections of pressure equipment in accordance with the requirements of AS3788.
  • Report inspection findings and improvement recommendations
  • Provide inspection plans and inspection scopes of work.
  • Liaise with planners, supervisors and NDT contractors on the requirements for inspections.
  • Maintenance and update of the classified plant files.
  • Work within the inspection procedures and systems at Tronox.
  • Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety regulations 1996 and AS3788
Preferred candidates will demonstrate the following skill set:
  • AICIP qualified and certified (additional Engineering Qualifications will be highly regarded).
  • Effective communication skills
  • At least 2 years continuous pressure vessel inspection and reporting experience
  • A working understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety regulations 1996 and AS3788
  • Strongly motivated and autonomous work attitude
  • Preference given for persons with experience in a chemical processing environment
  • Preference given for inspectors with a fabrication background
